It’s no secret that stress can sometimes get the best of us! Overwhelming situations and even anxiety will do it’s best to break us down! Time to put up your roadblocks! Below are some ideas to help you find comfort during hectic situations:


1) PET YOUR PET!

By doing this one slow and simple act, you will notice your heart rate come down and you will begin to relax. Bonus----it makes for a happy pet as well!

2) GET UP AND MOVE!

Going for a walk or just stepping away from a tense situation will transfer your

focus to something other than the moment causing you anxiety. Plus a little fresh air is good for the soul!

3) CALL A CLOSE FRIEND OR SOMEONE IN YOUR INNER CIRCLE!

Your friends know you better than anyone! They know exactly what to say to calm your nerves and even give you a laugh or two! Replace those frown lines with laugh lines….it’s much more flattering!

4) READ A BOOK OR MAGAZINE!

Taking the time to temporarily slip into another world will do wonders for your mental state! Getting caught up in a great story will allow you to relax your muscles and ease your mind!

5) COOK OR BAKE!

This is probably the only time that stress eating is okay! Divulge into a homemade recipe and get your hands dirty! You’ll be surprised at how soothing the texture and motion of kneading or rolling dough can be! Great food makes for a happy tummy!

6) WORK ON YOUR FAVORITE HOBBY!

Just 30 minutes of poking at your passion will put you in a peaceful state of mind that keeps you centered and brings you the joy you need!

Find that special thing that brings you back to your happy place and indulge in what brings you comfort and peace!
